New Book! Coming in 2010

BenchMark Learning International will publish its new book Self-Initiated Development in 2010. Written by co-founders Ben and Sidney McDonald, this book is the culmination of research and experience in providing leadership and management development assessments and coaching.

What makes this book unique is that after an introduction to leadership, the book highlights 31 competencies critical to leaders and managers. After a brief description of the competency and general recommendations to improve in the competency, readers are given two case studies with questions to think about regarding the case studies. Then, the reader can take a self-assessment to determine how well they think they perform for the competency. Based on their score, the reader uses a development plan outline provided in the back of the book to establish the steps they will take to improve.

We are excited about the upcoming book because it will help raise the bar for leaders and managers in all organizations and provide the tools for individuals to develop. In todays economy we feel that leaders and managers must develop now, more than ever.
